The Guys

Jim, Russell and their producer, Jeff, bring a refreshing and unpredictable approach to the news and topics of the day. They are not burdened with the problem of being mistaken for serious journalists… and that is just fine with them. As they tackle a wide range of topics from serious to quirky, their honest quick-witted exchanges are guaranteed to make you think while adding some levity to your morning. Tune into “The Guys” each morning from 6am to 9am and start your day with a little down home fun.

Jim Moore – Jim Moore hails from Shelby County.  He is married with two daughters and three grandchildren.  His insights are drawn from life experiences in teaching, coaching and business management.   Since the age of twenty nine Jim has owned and operated his own business and currently co-owns an automotive repair business with his brother in Montevallo.

Jim’s no nonsense approach to relevant topics are the source of many a spirited debate.  A fact to which Jim would reply “somebody’s got to be wrong, it might as well be you”.

He has worked on a variety of stations — soft rock, Christian, news talk, sports talk, and even NPR for three days, but we’re not supposed to ask about that one. He is a funny guy, at times. He has a personality for radio and a heart for ministry. Over the years, Russell has been involved in youth ministry and college campus ministry. He loves Jesus and hopes you do too.
